The most urgent task is not to ban technology but to re-design the norms around it—to make bias transparent, to make visibility negotiable, and to give users genuine choice in both expression and exposure.
Perhaps the future of ethical AI will depend less on building smarter models and more on cultivating self-awareness: noticing when we are co-writing with a machine, or when the city itself has become a camera.
